A Place to call home - Spruce Valley's Kennel

When we set out to design our dog facility, our mission was simple: to create a space where our dogs would feel comfortable, safe, and cared for year-round. Living in an area where the seasons bring extreme cold for half the year, we knew that our dogs would spend more time indoors, and their comfort was our top priority.
Let us take you on a tour of our facility, a place thoughtfully designed with the well-being of our dogs at heart.
Spacious and Stress-Free Living
Each of our dogs has their own cozy space to call home. Inside, they enjoy a 5-foot wide by 10-foot long indoor kennel. This isn’t just a kennel—it’s their private retreat where they can rest, relax, and feel secure.
But that’s not all! Each kennel connects to a 5-foot wide by 15-foot long outdoor run. Our dogs have the freedom to go in and out as they please, giving them the opportunity to stretch their legs, enjoy fresh air, and soak up the sun without feeling confined. This freedom of movement helps to reduce stress and keep our dogs happy and healthy.
A Cozy, Climate-Controlled Environment
Comfort goes beyond space. We’ve equipped our facility with everything our dogs need to stay comfortable in any weather. During the colder months, they have access to heating that keeps their indoor spaces warm and inviting. We also have hot water readily available to ensure that cleaning is efficient and thorough and that grooming sessions are comfortable for our furry friends.
Speaking of grooming—we have a dedicated grooming room where each dog gets the care and attention they deserve. This room is equipped to handle everything from quick touch-ups to full grooming sessions, ensuring that our dogs always look and feel their best.
Special Spaces for Special Moments
In addition to the general kennels, we have two maternity rooms designed to provide expectant mothers with a quiet, stress-free environment away from the general population. These rooms offer peace, privacy, and safety, allowing our moms-to-be to relax and prepare for their new arrivals.
We also have a dedicated puppy room, a space filled with warmth and care where puppies can grow, explore, and play. This room ensures that our youngest residents get a gentle introduction to the world, surrounded by love and comfort.
Airflow and Fresh Air
Good air circulation is essential for maintaining a healthy environment. Our facility is equipped with ceiling fans to keep air moving, and for those hotter days, we have a large industrial fan that ensures the space stays cool and comfortable.
Additionally, we’ve installed industrial exhaust fans that work to remove stale air from the facility while bringing in fresh, clean air. This constant exchange of air keeps the space smelling fresh, reduces the risk of airborne illnesses, and ensures that our dogs breathe clean air daily.
A Labor of Love
Creating this facility wasn’t just about building a space—it was about building a home for our dogs. We understand that dogs thrive in environments where they feel safe, secure, and loved, and we’ve made every effort to ensure that our facility reflects that understanding.
From the spacious kennels to the specialized rooms, from the climate control to the airflow systems—every detail has been carefully considered to ensure our dogs are happy, healthy, and stress-free.
After all, when you care for dogs, you’re not just providing for animals—you’re caring for family.
